Sunrise Management's Marketing Coordinator Honored at BIA ICON Awards

Michaela Fortunato named rookie of the year at annual event

San Diego-Michaela Fortunato-Schroeder marketing coordinator for Sunrise Management, was named “Rookie of the Year,” at the Building Industry of America’s (BIA) recent Icon Awards, an annual event that recognizes the building industry’s most outstanding contributors (builder, trade, and design professionals).

The Rookie of the Year” award is given to an individual who has been in the building industry less than five years and accomplished exceptional achievements in his/her area of expertise.

“BIA Icon Award honorees distinguish themselves by working hard every day for the betterment of our industry,” said Joe Greenblatt, president and CEO of Sunrise. “Michaela is a creative, talented and diligent marketing professional who truly deserves this recognition. Fortunato joined Sunrise in 2014. Prior to that she worked as a marketing event coordinator for the Welk Resort Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of San Diego.
